?
is presented as an example of the Community Foundation?s ongoing commitment to provide capacity building and technical assistance for nonprofits in our fivecounty region.
The Community Foundation for South Central New York thanks Susan Palmer and WSKG Public Broadcasting for their generous support of this workshop.
520 Columbia Drive, Suite 100We expect non-profits to operate on a nobler plane than other businesses, and we insist that they focus on public good rather than private. On top of that, we want them to be financially stable, yet, we do not provide access to the tools and practices that businesses routinely employ to perform effectively. In our hands- on ?Way to Go? workshop, you will begin to write a business plan for your non-profit, with a take-home template and take-home samples of successful business plans.
Board Chairs, Executive Directors/CEOs, CFOs, Business Managers. We encourage teams of two or more key volunteers/board and staff to attend this workshop together.
Intermediate through advanced.
In this hands-on, half-day workshop you will learn the fundamentals of business planning and begin to write your own business plan for your non-profit.
WORKSHOP TOPICS WILL INCLUDE:
? The approach and the team
? The imperatives of business planning
? The importance of references and research
